Ripsey has been owned by a fellow RAFYC member for as long as I can remember, I think she's a 9 ton Hillyard but I've been wrong too often so maybe someone will correct me.
We had an adjacent mooring about 10 years ago and Ripsy always struck me as a great sea boat.

I am not an expert but I would put money on it being a Hillyard.

ReplyDeleteI can see the attraction of separated accomodation in these Hillyards for family cruising but I have never thought these boats are particularly pretty compared with for example a canoe sterned Albert Strange design - but the more people or cabins you try to squeeze into a boat the bigger and bulkier the boat becomes.
