The white Wight

The snow has all gone and things are pretty much back to normal. Well, the wind is blowing in warm air from the southeast, which has cleared the snow that had brought the area to a standstill; and with it some rain, so it's a wet weekend.

Before we forget the snow, here are a few pictures across the Solent from last week. The first is Ryde.

Even with the snow laying thick on the ground a few brave souls were out on the water .

The middle downs looking more like an alpine scene, appropriately called "The Wight"

Roll on the summer!

  1. As I flew into Boston January 10 I saw them racing - and it was minus 7 Centigrade on shore without any wind chill. Tough lads (and lasses)
