Near Godshill and only accessible on foot are the remains of a WW2 bombing range.
From 1940 an area of around 5000 were used as a practice bombing area for aircraft from nearby RAF Boscombe Down.
The whole range was used extensively throughout the war, creating many bomb craters and even an aircraft crash site. Activities continued until 1946,

ReplyDeleteI always considered myself cautious with my online accounts. Two-factor authentication, strong passwords, and hardware wallets. I thought I was protected. But a single moment of carelessness was enough for everything to come crashing down.
It started with a seemingly ordinary text message from my mobile provider. It said there had been unusual activity on my account and I should click a link to secure it. I clicked, followed the instructions, and thought nothing of it.
Two hours later, I had no reception. I couldn't make calls or receive texts, and then I received an email: someone was trying to reset my crypto exchange account. Panic set in. I tried to log in, but it was too late. My SIM card was compromised.
The hacker had convinced my phone provider to transfer my number to a new SIM card. After checking my phone, they reset my exchange credentials using SMS-based two-factor authentication. Within minutes, they looted over $822,000 in crypto savings I'd accumulated over years. The wallet was completely emptied.
And the worst part? I realized this type of SIM swapping attack was becoming increasingly common. The phishing link I clicked was the setup. My carrier's support was slow and frustrating. Law enforcement told me recovery was unlikely.
For weeks, I felt helpless until someone referred me to ICC Reclaim Services. I was initially skeptical. But after an initial consultation, they began a thorough forensic review of the transactions and tracked the stolen cryptocurrencies using blockchain analysis.
