Knotty Pine

 Of rather in this case oak, grown in an amazingly distorted fashion, I'm intrigued to understand what caused it to grown and develop like this.

And below despite what appears to be a tree growing inside out, given the size of the trunk this tree may be well on the way to being over 100 years old, measured against our own oak which is 106 and half the circumference.
