The last UK 'Eric The Red' I remember was a small Junk Rigged plywood boat built and sailed by a clergymans son who went on an adventurous voyage and wrote a book about it - must of been in the 1970s - 80s, if my memory serves me correctly.
We live close to Bursledon Bridge on the Hamble River. This is about boats, wildlife and people in the upper reaches of the Hamble, but mostly about old boats and things nautical.
