This delightful lugger was spotted sailing in Fowey during an early September evening, single handed the helmsman looked positively relaxed and he tacked back and forth across the harbour.
A couple of days later drawn up on the slipway at Bodinnick Boatyard we rowed over for a closer look. The hull has quite a large volume and look at the length along the spars from bowsprit to bumpkin.
We live close to Bursledon Bridge on the Hamble River. This is about boats, wildlife and people in the upper reaches of the Hamble, but mostly about old boats and things nautical.
Hi Max,
ReplyDeleteWhat a great boat. Thanks for sharing. In the second picture, how are the legs attached to the boat?
I enjoy your blog.
