Lymington River SCOW

Spotted at the Bucklers Hard Festival weekend a Lymington River SCOW (LR).

It was slowing making its way through the moorings so maybe the creased mainsail can be excused.

  1. Thanks for the article, I read it and the post and I have to say that this all gets more confusing when you are new to all this, just when I think I understand it all, someone throws in something new.
I guess I will all click in to place at some stage!

  2. Got a bit too much outhaul on, do we? Or perhaps not enough downhaul, but sometimes a scandalized sail is just what the doctor ordered.
Think of those crab-claw sails made of scraps of old bedsheets. They make way just like a real sail, don't they?
